This lil’ basket was hand-woven with willow branches I cut down by the Arkansas River.
Willow is the perfect natural material for weaving because it’s super pliable, if you’re gentle, you can turn the sticks in on themselves without them snapping. Their bark is smooth to the touch, and doesn’t need to be processed or spun to create beautiful pieces.
