We recommend using this natural dye setting detergent for the first few washes of your new naturally dyed garment to prolong the life of your dye pattern.

This detergent contains Synthrapol®, an agent that helps to keep dye suspended in place during wash. This unique property minimizes dye transfer and helps to prolong color life. This detergent technique is a well-kept secret among quilters and is especially important for work that has high color contrast.

Instructions: Add approximately 5 ml (about 1 teaspoon) per 8 pounds of fabric. Gently wash for at least 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

If washing by hand, it’s recommended to use gloves to avoid possible skin irritation.
